1. Agar Lagu MP3 tetap utuh Windows 7 memiliki kelemahan di Windows Player 12 karena bug jahat yang dimilikinya. Bug ini otomatis akan menambahkan metadata yang hilang, termasuk album art. Masalahnya hal ini bisa mengakibatkan file tersebut tidak utuh lagi. Untuk memperbaikinya, install updatenya dari situs Microsoft.
2. Klik Kanan yang Makin Sakti * Klik kanan pada bagian kosong di desktop untuk mengatur resolusi layar, jadi tak perlu melalui display setting dulu. * Klik kanan pada ikon Explore di taskbar, untuk mengakses folder sistem yang umum digunakan seperti Documents, Pictures, dan lainnya dengan lebih cepat. * Sedangkan bila tidak ingin menggunakan Internet Explorer dan ingin memindahkannya dari taksbar, klik kanan saja pada ikon IE, lalu pilih “Unpin this program from the taskbar”, kemudian instal browser lain.

Jalan pintas (shortcut) pada keyboard * Alt+P: Untuk menampikan atau menyembunyikan tampilan jendela Explorer * Windows Logo+G: Menampilkan gadget di muka windows-windows lainnya * Windows Logo++ (tombol plus): Zoom in * Windows Logo+- (tombol minus): Zoom out * Windows Logo+Up: Memperbesar ukuran window * Windows Logo+Down: Memperkecil ukuran window * Windows Logo+Left: Bergerak menuju sisi kiri layar * Windows Logo+Right: Bergerak menuju sisi kanan layar * Windows Logo+Home: Meminimize/merestore window lain kecuali yang sedang ditampilkan
4. Mengatur UAC (User Account Control) Jengkel dengan banyaknya ‘peringatan’ (alert) seperti pada Windows Vista? Aturlah dengan langkah berikut: Start -> Control Panel -> Change User Account Control Settings.
5. Menulis Cakram Digital Windows 7 akhirnya menyediakan layanan untuk mem-’burn’ file ISO langsung ke bentuk CD atau DVD. Untuk memudahkannya, tinggal double klik pada file tersebut, pilih drive dengan disk kosong lalu klik Burn.
6. Akses video lebih cepat Klik kanan pada menu Start, lalu menuju Properties -> Start Menu -> Customize, dan set pilihan video pada “Display as a link”. Kini bisa mengakses folder video dengan langkah singkat. 7. Bagi Flickr Memiliki account di Flickr? Untuk mempercepat membukanya, kunjungilah situs I Started Something, kemudian downloadlah Connector-nya, lalu pilih Open. Dengan ini, “Flickr Search’ akan ditambahkan di folder Searches, pun bisa mencari foto lewat desktop . Gampang kan?

Download Windows 7 Lewat MSDN ato TechNet
Microsoft, lewat webnya beberapa waktu lalu mengumumkan akan kehadiran Windows 7 Release Candidate. Dan dapat didownload langsung dari website technet atau MSDN. Donwload agak beribet sih menurut saya, jadi ketika sudah muncul java installer untuk menunjukkan download progres, saya copy saja link di addres bar.
Dan link ini saya paste-kan di "new task"nya, flashget. Muncul tab download task-nya lalu saya klik OK...
Penuh dag dig dug lalu eng ing eng.....
Proses downloadnya berjalan. Lumayan cepat sih walau speed-nya cuma berkisar antara 70Kb/s - 150 Kb/s.

Path to Windows 7 RC
If you’re running Windows 7 Beta or the Windows XP operating system, you’ll need to back up data and perform a clean installation of Windows 7 RC. After installing, reinstall applications and restore your files. If you’re running the Windows Vista operating system, you can upgrade to Windows 7 RC. Shutdown Schedule for Windows 7 Beta and Windows 7 RC
To avoid interruption, it’s recommended that you and your customers rebuild test machines by using a valid Windows operating system before Windows 7 Beta and Windows 7 RC expire. Windows will automatically notify you that the expiration process is about to begin. Two weeks later, your PC will shut down every two hours. For Windows 7 Beta, the bihourly shutdowns will begin July 1, 2009. The software will expire August 1, 2009. For Windows 7 RC, the bihourly shutdowns will begin March 1, 2010. The software will expire June 1, 2010.

1. Sehubungan dengan surat kami Nomor PEN 381/PEN-PPP/III/2009 tanggal 18 Maret 2009 tentang pengumuman test EPS-KLT tahun 2009 di website bnp2tki : www.bnp2tki.go.id dan berdasarkan surat HRD Korea Nomor EPS-KLT 269 tanggal 10 Maret 2009 tentang petunjuk pelaksanaan pendaftaran test EPS-KLT tahun 2009 bahwa:
a) Kualifikasi/Persyaratan Peserta Test EPS-KLT tahun 2009 adalah umur antara 18 s/d 39 tahun (kelahiran antara 11 Mei 1970 dan 10 Mei 1991)
b) Peserta harus memiliki fotocopy KTP/Passpor dan ditempelkan pada formulir pendaftaran, serta mengisi formulir pendaftaran dengan benar.
c) Ketika mendaftarkan diri untuk ikut test EPS-KLT peserta harus memilih industri tertentu yang diharapkan ia dapat bekerja di Korea, perubahan tidak boleh dilakukan kemudian.
2. Berdasarkan hasil seleksi/penelitian Tim Penanggung Jawab test EPS-KLT 2009 HRD Korea bahwa terdapat peserta pendaftar Test EPS-KLT 2009 yang tidak memenuhi ketentuan prosedur pendaftaran yaitu :
a) Adanya peserta pendaftaran yang belum berusia 18 tahun dan peserta yang sudah berusia lebih dari 39 tahun.
b) Adanya peserta pendaftaran yang tidak mengisi formulir pendaftaran dengan benar yaitu :
* Tidak mengisi formulir pendaftaran khususnya pada kolom KTP/Passpor dengan benar.
* Tidak mengisi tanggal lahir dengan benar.
* Mengisi kolom pemilihan jenis pekerjaan lebih dari satu jenis pekerjaan.
3. Berdasarkan ketentuan tersebut diatas, maka kami sampaikan bahwa :
a) Pendaftar calon peserta test tersebut yang tidak memenuhi kriteria kualifikasi umur 18 s/d 39 tahun dan peserta yang tidak mengisi formulir kolom ID Number/ nomor KTP/Passpor, serta kesalahan pengisian tanggal lahir tidak diperkenankan mengikuti test EPS-KLT 2009.
b) Pendaftar calon peserta test yang memilih lebih dari satu jenis kategori industri pilihan pekerjaan
( industry- double checking ) di tetapkan memilih industri Manufaktur / pilihan pertama.
4) Bagi pendaftar calon peserta test yang tidak memenuhi kriteria seperti point 3a di atas yang tidak diperkenankan mengikuti test EPS-KLT 2009, agar menghubungi panitia pendaftaran/ universitas tempat saudara mendaftarkan diri untuk konfirmasi pengembalian uang pendaftaran test yang telah disetorkan.

7 Mitos Yang Dipercaya oleh Dokter Padahal Salah
“Kami merasa perlu mengangkat hal ini, karena kami tahu bahwa dokter mempercayai hal-hal seperti itu, dan bahkan memberikan informasi seperti demikian pada pasien”. Demikian kata dr. Aaron Caroll, asisten profesor pediatrik (spesialis anak) pada Indiana School of Medicine. “Dan kepercayaan seperti ini sering disitasi oleh media populer”. Inilah mitos tersebut, sehingga dapat diinformasikan kepada dokter anda.
Mitos: Manusia hanya menggunakan 10 persen dari kapasitas otaknya.
Fakta: Dokter dan pelawak, seperti Jerry Seinfeld, sering mensitasi pernyataan ini. Ia sering secara sembrono dihubungkan dengan Albert Einstein. Namun scan MRI, scan PET, dan studi radiologi telah menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada area mengganggur (dormant) pada otak. Setelah melihat neuron individu pada sel, ternyata tidak ditemukan area yang inaktif. Studi metabolik mengenai bagaimana sel otak memproses kimiawi tubuh menunjukkan tidak adanya area yang tidak berfungsi. Menurut Caroll, mitos ini kemungkinan berasal dari para motivator kepribadian di tahun 1900an yang ingin meyakinkan audiensnya bahwa mereka belum mencapai potensi mereka secara penuh.
Mitos: Anda sebaiknya minum setidaknya delapan gelas perhari.
Fakta: “Tidak ada bukti medis yang menyatakan bahwa anda memerlukan air sebanyak itu”. Demikian kata dr. Rachel Vreeman, peneliti pediatrik. Menurut Vreeman, mitos ini berasal dari tahun 1945, dimana Badan Nutrisi Amerika Serikat merekomendasikan bahwa seorang individu mengkonsumsi cairan sebanyak 8 gelas. Bersamaan dengan berjalannya waktu, kata ‘cairan’ berubah menjadi air. Namun air yang berada pada buah, sayuran, kopi, dan cairan lainnya seharusnya juga dihitung. Mitos: Kuku jari dan rambut akan tumbuh setelah kematian. Fakta: Sebagian besar dokter pada awalnya meyakini hal ini. Namun setelah mereka pikirkan lebih jauh, ini tidak mungkin. Yang terjadi adalah sebagai berikut. “Sewaktu kulit tubuh mengering, jaringan lunak, terutama kulit, mengalami pengkerutan’. Demikian kata Vreeman. “ Kuku kelihatan lebih terlihat sewaktu kulit mengering. Hal yang sama juga terjadi dengan rambut, namun tidak terlalu jelas. Ketika kulit menyusut kedalam, rambut terlihat lebih kelihatan di permukaan kulit.”
Mitos: Rambut yang dicukur tumbuh lebih cepat, lebih gelap, dan lebih besar.
Fakta: Pada uji klinis tahun 1928 telah membandingkan pertumbuhan rambut di bagian kulit kepala yang dicukur dan yang tidak dicukur. Rambut yang digantikan oleh rambut yang dicukur ternyata tidak lebih gelap, lebih tebal, atau lebih cepat pertumbuhannya. Kajian yang lebih mutakhir telah mengkonfirmasikan hal ini. Inilah yang terjadi. Ketika rambut mulai tumbuh setelah dicukur, ia tumbuh dengan ujung tumpul, demikian penjelasan Caroll dan Vreeman. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, ujung tumpul tersebut menjadi semakin tumpul, sehingga rambut menjadi kelihatan lebih tebal. Rambut yang baru tumbuh bisa kelihatan lebih gelap juga, karena ia belum terkena paparan sinar matahari.
Mitos: Membaca di lampu redup merusak penglihatan
Fakta: Peneliti tidak menemukan bukti bahwa membaca di lampu redup menyebabkan kerusakan mata permanen. Ia dapat menyebabkan tegangan mata dan sementara mengurangi ketajaman penglihatan, yang segera akan pulih.
Mitos: Makan Kalkun membuat mengantuk
Fakta: Bahkan Carroll dan Vreeman meyakini hal ini, sampai mereka melakukan riset. Yang dipelajari, ternyata terdapat zat triptofan di kalkun yang menyebabkan ngantuk. Namun kalkun tidak mengandung zat itu lebih banyak daripada ayam atau sapi. Mitos ini didorong oleh fakta bahwa kalkun sering dimakan secara ‘kolosal’ bersama hidangan lain sewaktu liburan, sering kali dengan minuman keras. Dua hal itu bisa menyebabkan rasa kantuk.
Mitos: Ponsel dilarang digunakan di rumah sakit
Fakta: Tidak ditemukan adanya kasus kematian berhubungan dengan hal ini. Kasus interferensi dengan instrumen rumah sakit biasanya tidak serius, demikian temuan peneliti. Dalam satu kasus, handphone ditemukan telah menginterferensi 4 persen dari instrumen, namun hanya ketika telfon berada dalam jarak 1 meter dari instrumen. Kajian yang lebih baru, tahun ini, menemukan tidak adanya interferensi pada 300 tests di 75 ruang perawatan. “Ketika kami mendiskusikan kajian ini, dokter kelihatan tidak percaya bahwa handphone tidak menggagu instrumen.’ Demikian kata Vreeman. “Namun setelah kami memaparkan bukti medis, mereka akhirnya percaya bahwa kepercayaan seperti itu tidak tepat.”

Berulang kali saya masuk TechNet dan MSDN untuk mencoba download Windows 7 RC, ternyata sulit dan harus jadi subcriber dulu. Ketika rasa ingin tahu dan mencoba Windows 7 RC di Laptop DeLL Latitude D520, saya putuskan untuk klik mininova.org. Langsung saya ketikkan ke tab search : windows 7 RC. Tunggu beberapa saat, eng ing eng.... ternyata yang keluar fr Windows 7 RC, mungkin itu Windows 7 RC bahasa Perancis (kan ada fr di depan, kalau en mungkin bahasa inggris y?).
Selain itu dibawahnya juga banyak pilihan link download tapi untuk Windows 7 build 7100. Saya kan pinginnya windows 7 RC, jadi gak ada salahnya saya coba download. Walau mungkin nantinya bahasa perancis gak jadi masalah, OK?
Kalau teman2 mau donwload dibawah saya sediakan linknya dari mininova berupa torrent. PAling enak downloadnya dengan flashget ja, tapi terserah sih kalau teman2 punya download accelerator apasaja juga boleh asal bisa download file torrent.

Broader public availability will begin May 5 on the Microsoft Windows 7 site. The RC milestone is a result of feedback from millions of customers and partners around the world. It indicates the operating system is entering the final phases of development and is ready for partners to develop new applications, device drivers and services, and ready for IT pros to evaluate Windows 7 and examine how it will operate in their environment.

More than 10,000 companies have signed up to have access to a breadth of helpful tools and resources needed to prepare their products and services to take full advantage of the innovations in Windows 7.

Windows 7 RC Reflects New Advancements
New to the Windows 7 RC are advancements such as Remote Media Streaming, Windows XP Mode (beta) and the upcoming beta of the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor:

Remote Media Streaming. Enables highly secure, remote Internet access to home-based digital media libraries from another Windows 7-based PC outside the home.
•
Windows XP Mode. Utilizing Windows Virtual PC, Windows XP Mode allows Windows 7 users to run many Windows XP productivity applications, launched right from the Windows 7 desktop. Windows XP Mode will be available to Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate customers via download or, for the best experience, pre-installed directly on new PCs. As part of today’s announcement, Microsoft is releasing the beta of Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC. For larger businesses where management is important to reduce the total cost of ownership, Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Virtualization (MED-V) within MDOP adds management to Windows Virtual PC including centralized policy, administration experience and deployment.

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. To help enable a smooth transition, Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor will help people analyze their PCs in preparation for a Windows 7 upgrade. Available soon, Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor will be a downloadable tool that will help people determine their ability to upgrade from their Windows XP-based or Windows Vista-based PC to Windows 7.
In addition, a number of enhancements were made to existing features based on feedback from beta testers, including the following:

Refined navigation. Several enhancements to the Windows taskbar, JumpLists and search make navigation and finding exactly what you want much easier.
•
Internet Explorer 8. InPrivate browsing in Internet Explorer 8 prevents browsing history, temporary Internet files, form data, cookies, and usernames and passwords from being retained by the browser. With Windows 7, you can start an InPrivate session straight from the JumpList. You can also open a new tab from the JumpList.
•
Windows Touch. Controlling the computer by touching a touch-enabled screen or monitor is a core Windows 7 user experience. Improvements in the RC include several Windows Touch updates, including the ability to drag, drop and select items with touch, even inside Web sites that scroll both horizontally and vertically.
System Requirements for Windows 7
With the RC, Microsoft is also providing guidance on the minimum system requirements for Windows 7, showing that Windows 7 will work on a broader array of hardware than any other release of Windows at launch:

1GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
•
1 GB of RAM (32-bit)/2 GB of RAM (64-bit)
•
16 GB of available disk space (32-bit)/20 GB (64-bit)
•
DirectX 9 graphics device with Windows Display Driver Model 1.0 or higher driver
Windows 7 Ready for IT Pros and Tech Enthusiasts to Preview
For enterprises, Windows 7 is designed to empower users to work from anywhere while providing enterprise IT the tools to manage security, compliance and data protection through an infrastructure that will drive down the cost of operations. IT professionals and small and medium-sized businesses will find that Microsoft is committed to delivering tools and support that enhance software compatibility as well as ease deployment and migration concerns. Some key features for IT professionals include the following:

Direct Access. This feature enables IT managers to provide mobile users with reliable and security-enhanced access to corporate network resources when they are on the Internet, without having to initiate a VPN connection. It also allows servicing and updating of remote PCs, even when they are on the road. This helps ensure that all mobile PCs are always up to date, and Windows Powershell means IT pros can automate many standard tasks to help reduce helpdesk costs, minimize user disruption and ease PC management. Direct Access is delivered by Windows 7 with Windows Server 2008 R2.
•
BranchCache. Delivered jointly by Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, this feature enables IT pros to decrease the time branch office users spend waiting to download files from remote servers by caching the previously accessed content locally in a branch’s network.
•
BitLocker and BitLocker To Go. This helps ensure that sensitive data is protected across PCs and removable storage devices.

Desktop and User Interface:
• Gadget view options
In the Windows 7 beta it was impossible to separate desktop icons from gadgets under the View setting available by right-clicking on the desktop. Now there is the option to hide just your gadgets or just your desktop icons.
Keyboard Shortcuts:
• Windows Flip (ALT + TAB) with Aero Peek
Aero Peek is now enabled for Windows Flip (or more commonly known as ALT + TAB).
• Improved Windows Logo + # keyboard shortcut
Pressing Windows Logo + # (where # corresponds to an item’s order in the taskbar) in the beta would only launch the program in Windows 7. In the release candidate, it can both launch and switch between Windows. For example, if IE wasn’t running and the second item on the taskbar, Windows Logo + 2 will launch the program. If IE is running with a single window, the same shortcut will now switch to the program. When IE is running with several windows or tabs, holding down the Windows Logo and tapping the 2 key repeatedly will actually cycle through the open IE items off the taskbar (with Aero Peek). Letting go simply switches to the corresponding window. It works really similarly to the ALT +TAB shortcut.
Multitouch:
• Aero Peek for touch
First, the taskbar’s thumbnails now support a gesture so you can drag your finger across the taskbar and it will trigger Aero Peek. The Show Desktop button is improved so a press-and-hold will allow the customer to peek at the desktop. A regular tap still allows you to switch over.
• Windows Explorer
Multi-touch zoom is now enabled for Windows Explorer.
Power Options:
• Faster access to High Performance power plan
Clicking on the battery icon in the taskbar notification area offers two different power plans: Balanced and Power saver. Windows 7 laptops are configured to use the Balanced by default. Now in the popout menu, you can see all three options.
Taskbar:
• Increased taskbar space
There is even more increased space on the taskbar now. The release candidate will feature 24-39% more icons before the taskbar scrolls (depending upon resolution, icon size and the default notification area).
• Increased flexibility and changes to Jump Lists
When there are too many things pinned to Jump Lists, it defeats the whole purpose of easy access. Jump Lists now only automatically suggest the first 10 items (there is still the option to customize the length of the list).
Now you can also pin files and folders to programs that are not handle that file type. Pinning the item in most cases will create a new registration so that launching it from the Jump List will always open the file with that specific program (ex. a pinned HTML file to Notepad will always open the file in Notepad).
The Control Panel jump list will now list your most recent items.
• Newly installed programs
When a program is installed, it automatically and temporarily surfaces at the bottom of the Start Menu. It lets the user see it, giving them the option to launch it or drag it to the taskbar.
User Account Control:
• Increased security
There will be two changes to the release candidate to UAC settings. The first change is that the UAC control panel will run in a “high integrity” process (thus requiring elevation). The second change will now prompt for a confirmation when you are changing the level of UAC.
